In 2004 Ryan Clouthier started his career as an Energy Auditor with Southern New Hampshire Services. Ryan’s passion for energy efficiency and helping people was quickly recognized when he was promoted to Weatherization Director in 2007. By 2013 Ryan had earned the title of Energy Director, overseeing all of the energy related programs for SNHS, and in 2018 he was promoted to Deputy Director. In this position he is responsible for providing leadership to the Southern New Hampshire Services senior management team and developing a performance culture to ensure the effective management of a comprehensive array of over sixty programs. Ryan’s level of community involvement as a volunteer is extensive. He serves on numerous boards including the Residential Ratepayers Advisory Board, The Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy Board and as Vice President of the Neighbor Helping Neighbor Board, and also participates as an intervening party at the PUC for Utility run Energy Efficiency Programs. Ryan was a critical partner in the development of the Manchester and Nashua Healthy Homes One Touch Program, and was one of 12 committee members assigned nationally by the Department of Energy to develop the Energy Auditor Job Task Analysis/Knowledge Skills and Abilities for the National Workforce Guidelines for Home Energy Professionals. He has also been a presenter and/or panelist at multiple trainings and conferences hosted by the National Community Action Foundation, Affordable Comfort and Department of Energy. In 2015 Ryan was selected as a member of the Union Leader Top 40 under 40 in recognition of his professional and volunteer accomplishments in NH.
