Matt Russell has been a part of New Hampshire’s workforce development efforts since 2008 and he began his tenure with Southern New Hampshire Services in 2011. Prior to joining the SNHS team, Matt worked in conjunction with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Special Education Departments at several high schools within the southern New Hampshire region. Together they were able to successfully establish programs designed to help students develop appropriate career paths, improve their overall employability and begin the process for successful transition to the adult services that many were eligible for.
Matt’s first role at SNHS was with the Workplace Success Program, where he worked as a Program Coordinator in the Manchester office. During this time he was able to establish a great working relationship with his counterparts in the New Hampshire Employment Program (NHEP) and from there we he went on to become the NHEP Field Operations Manager. Eventually, Matt returned to the program where it all started and became the Regional Program Manager for Workplace Success. Matt was invited to join the SNHS Emerging Leaders initiative where he was able to work with some of the agencies most talented and experienced staff. In the spring of 2017, Matt was named the WIOA Statewide Program Administrator. He and his team are currently working hard to enhance the skills of each participant served in the WIOA program; in an effort to provide the businesses of New Hampshire with the highly qualified workers they need to remain competitive.

Matt resides in Manchester, NH with his wife and two young children. He and his family have a great appreciation for the outdoors and all of the remarkable destinations New Hampshire has to offer. When he is not working, you can find him and his family exploring all corners of the state.
