Data Collection/Reporting Specialist (Manchester - 35 hrs/wk)

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent of this position is responsible for entering demographic and other relevant data of program participants into the appropriate database, ie. HMIS and/or empowOR. Information about households receiving assistance through the Housing Relief Program is a special focus of this position.

SUPERVISION:

Received: Works under the direct supervision of the Family Resource Manager, and general supervision of the Project Innovation Director.

Exercised: None.

RATE: $16.57

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In conjunction with Family Resource Specialists and other SNHS staff, develop a process for determining whose data needs to be entered into HMIS and for how the information will be gathered.
  • Enter required data elements into the HMIS database, meeting state-established requirements for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Work with Family Resource Specialists to resolve issues around data accuracy and/or completeness. This could involve reviewing client data entered into empowOR and resolving any discrepancies between information in that database and what is in HMIS
  • Run periodic quality control reports in HMIS to ensure that data is being entered correctly and is readily available to state officials to review.
  • Produce reports as requested.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel when needed.
  • Will maintain professional boundaries with all current, past, and prospective clients, and maintain the confidentiality of clients and staff, in accordance with SNHS policy and procedure.
  • Abide by all SNHS Safety policies and procedures.
  • Present professional and positive image as a representative of SNHS.
  • Responsible for having adequate knowledge of all SNHS programs and will gather sufficient intake information to make referrals to other SNHS programs which are beneficial to the client and his/her family.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Proficiency with data entry and attention to detail.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work as part of a team in ensuring data is accurate and complete.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Familiarity with HMIS and empowOR databases preferred.
