Youth age 18 and under will enjoy free meals again this summer through the Summer Food Service Program coordinated by Southern New Hampshire Services. Sites located in five cities or towns in Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties will provide free meals to local youth.
Southern New Hampshire Services has announced the availability of plots at the Hillsborough County Community Garden in Goffstown.
The garden is open to all residents of Hillsborough County who wish to have a garden space. A minimum of 75% of all gardening spaces are reserved for households meeting federal low-income guidelines.
Access to healthy food is critical to the well-being of young and old alike. In uncertain economic times, many local residents face the challenge of putting food on their tables. Southern New Hampshire Services is able to expand the availability of healthy food through a variety of Nutrition Programs across Hillsborough & Rockingham Counties.
